The Beat Goes On!

AFVN Personnel

The names may become lost and forgotten after the years----

But "Good Morning, Vietnam!" and "The Beat goes on!" will live forever.

In July 2017, Rick Fredericksen was kind enough to count the number of people listed

in these pages.  His total was 1,242.  However, these pages also include the names of

some people who were actually assigned to AFVN.  This includes DJs and other who were

announcers with AFTS in Los Angeles; Donut Dollies, USO, GI and other volunteers in

Vietnam who helped AFVN in many ways; and sometimes just someone who has a

very strong interest in AFVN.  The total of such names may be close to 100 or so.

Moreover, on these pages

 are the troops that provided news, morale and joy while enduring enemy fire;

some AFVN troops suffered wounds, death and captivity at the hands of the enemy.

We were special people from all branches and with a variety of duties.

However, we were all soldiers--and now we are all veterans.

Bringing memories, good and bad, to those who served in Vietnam.
